When working with children therapeutically, it involves understanding the basic psychological needs of children and how their family and social context influence their adjustment and development. I believe in working with children as young as toddlers to help them reach their developmental milestones and adjust to their ever-changing environment so they can grow into healthy, contributing members of society. Understanding the needs of young minds is essential for fostering healthy socio-emotional development and academic success.

Transitioning between being a child and a young adult can overwhelm teenagers. Whether dealing with general complexities or trauma, adolescents may require therapy to develop skills to handle situations healthily. I assist teenagers in developing independence, self-identity, and making informed decisions regarding family, school, and social pressures. Therapy can help teenagers cope with behavioural issues, educational problems, bullying, trauma, bereavement, identity formation, and peer dynamics. I work with teenagers therapeutically to facilitate growth and prevent long-lasting psychological issues.
In adult psychotherapy, I focus on helping patients understand and address their challenges. Therapy sessions encourage patients to unlock the root of the problem and find individualized, realistic ways to work through emotional and mental challenges, promoting a healthy, positive frame of mind.

Psychological assessments play a crucial role in understanding and addressing various concerns. From psycho-educational evaluations to psycho-legal and forensic assessments, I offer comprehensive testing services to support individuals, families, and schools in implementing effective interventions.

A psycho-educational assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of an individual’s current cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning.
Concessions and accommodations are interventions that help children with specific barriers to learning to participate equally in classroom and testing environments.
Emotional assessments provide insight into a client’s feelings about themselves, their relationships, and experiences of their environment. This insight helps to tailor-make therapeutic support and intervention, and to make recommendations for the client’s family, school or work.
These assessments aim to support clients in making more informed subject and career choices.
School readiness is a psycho-educational assessment that investigates whether a child is ready for formal education.
These assessments include making suggestions for rulings to prioritise the best interests of children/victims in certain cases. I am involved with these cases from the initial phase, right through to the compilation of the final report.
